THE HUMAN BODY

We learn about THE HUMAN BODY in school. Even those of us who 'KNOW' the body and teach it, have usually not fully embodied our own. We are usually taught about the physical muscle, the HEART -- not about this heart or about my heart. How different my experience when in a meditative state I take a real look inside and feel the powerful contraction that sends my life blood on its journey through the chambers, bright red with oxygen to renew life in every cell.

When I take a "Fantastic Journey" into my body, I allow myself to slip inside, to shrink down and journey
as an explorer travel to a place that calls my attention. There I pause, study the area, observe & listen. Almost immediately I find a metaphoric message that communicates to me without a doubt how that place is functioning. What is that off color spot? What is its texture? Why is it different? What does it need? How can I supply what is called for? How does the spot change as I pay attention?

The process is truly healing. It stimulates and calls for my curiosity, my interest and my creativity. And always results in lightening my spirits and often heals what is needed.

Appreciations

Happy Mother's Day!

I am posting this before I turn your new blog over to you, so that others may give their appreciations of you by commenting. (To comment, click on the blue “comments” next to the time stamp under this post.)

It is impossible to put into words how much I love you and how much I admire you! And how proud I am of you for living your life with such love and caring for yourself and for the world and for those you love (darn near everyone!) and for how much good I see you do. I am most proud and thrilled to salute you in your 80th year as a living testimony that one can "Sage" with grace, flexibility and beauty, still making a difference and being a joy to the world.

I'm imbedding this lovely clip of Whitney Houston's first television appearance because I can! I'm pretty proud of self teaching myself to do it! No, actually because I know you love her voice, and because the song she's singing, Home, so honors you. Everywhere you go you create Home and Shabbat, and I know that forever, my sense of Home will be connected with you. Love You Mom!
Happy Mother's Day!

P. S. By posting, I now turn this blog over to you and make it available for our family and friends to comment and add their appreciations of you! (Hint, hint, all you loved ones!)
